A decade ago, when Nassau County managed Bailey Arboretum, they had seven full-time employees on the premises.  Today we operate with the equivalent of two, one full-time and three part-time.

You can see why volunteers are important to us!  If you have ideas for children’s activities at the upcoming Pumpkin Festival, experience handling PR, a few hours a month you can spare to stuff envelopes or manage the mailing list, a passion for pruning or weeding (or a desire to learn more) we have plenty of work to go around.
